Plan Today.
Protect Tomorrow...
Life insurance is a powerful financial tool that can be used to meet many needs. Most commonly, life insurance is used to provide a death benefit to secure your family’s financial future when you are gone.

Most life insurance policies in force today only work if the insured dies since the death benefit can only be accessed at the time of death.  But what if you had an illness, one that does not allow you to work, or puts you in a situation where you need specialized care?  Will your current life insurance policy allow you to tap into the death benefit to help pay for your care, medical bills, or provide disability income while you are still alive?  The answer is NO!  Unless you have a Living Benefits Policy.

How do you protect against an unforeseen illness?
Consider the following:

  • About every 26 seconds, an American will suffer a coronary event, and about every minute someone will die from one.
  • On average, every 40 seconds someone in the United States has a stroke.
  • At age 65, the odds are nearly one in two that you will require nursing home services for at least 2.5 years.

You should have access to benefits you can use, while you are living. Living Benefits provide a combined solution that you can afford to have, but cannot afford to be without.  This combination of benefits can help protect your plans for today and tomorrow.  We call it:

"Life Insurance You Don't Have To Die To Use."

Q:
So, what does "Life Insurance You Don't Have To Die To Use" mean?

A:
You can access your policy's benefits while you are still living.  Your benefits may include coverage in case of a:
  • Chronic Illness
Allows the policyholder to access a percentage the policy face amount per year (determined by the individual insurance carriers who offer this living benefit rider) when he or she is determined by a licensed health care practitioner to be unable to perform two of the six activities of daily living (bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring) for a period of 90 consecutive days, or to be suffering from severe cognitive impairment for a period of 90 consecutive days or more.
  • Critical Illness
Enables the policyholder to access his or her death benefit in advance of death when he or she is determined by a licensed physician to have suffered a critical health condition, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, a major organ transplant, end stage renal failure, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), blindness, or paralysis due to the loss of two or more limbs.

  • Terminal Illness
Provides the ability to access a portion of the policy’s death benefit as a lump sum payment in advance of death when a licensed physician has diagnosed the insured to have less than 12-24 months to live.
  • Disability
The Disability Income Rider is available should you become disabled and unable to work.  It pays a fixed monthly benefit amount to help you cover expenses that you may no longer be able to meet while not working.  Depending on your disability and needs, there is either a Two-Year Disability Rider or a Five-Year Disability Rider.
